The MÈRE Project


Music Energy for the Regeneration of Earth



The MÈRE Project is a 501(c)(3) charitable trust, founded in 1992. MÈRE is an acronym for Music Energy for the Regeneration of Earth as well as the French word for "mother".

The MÈRE Project is committed to the advancement of the arts and religion via the presentation of music and multimedia arts, educational and inspirational materials. (With respect to our work in the advancement of religion, we do not focus specifically on any given religious tradition, rather the general, sacred relationship of humanity to the Divine and means by which that can be encouraged and enhanced.) Primarily, the trust's purpose is to produce and distribute music and the aforementioned materials to raise funds for other charitable organizations, with a focus on those organizations that directly serve youth, women, the arts and the planetary environment.

Our primary philanthropic focus is on the prevention of youth suicide in the United States of America. To that end, we provide the The National Suicide Prevention Directory and Child/Youth Suicide Prevention Resources. We also present San Francisco: a dance music project to raise funds for organizations dedicated to this work.

As well as other culturally and spiritually valuable information, through this web site, we present music that applies metaphysical properties of sound to
a) facilitate direct, personal communion with the Divine, (particularly such communication with the deepest aspects of the Divine Feminine or Great Mother), and
b) to effect a regeneration of the vital cosmic forces in the spirit/soul/body of the individual, in order to promote the holistic healing and spiritual regeneration of humanity and this planet.
Specifically, that music embodies original sonic translations of the Mayan Sacred Calendar, the "Tzolkin". While most of the content of this site is focused on the Mayan Sacred Calendar and the acoustic expression of It's metaphysical properties, (supporting the sonic translations), The MÈRE Project is not dedicated to the ideologies or doctrines of any particular person, group or technology associated with the Tzolkin and Tzolkin studies nor that of any other sacred tradition.
