The Maya

The Maya

Reportedly, as the direct descendants of extraterrestrial beings from the region of our galaxy we view as the Pleiades, the Maya mastered the immutable Harmony of the Cosmos to the degree that they were able to utilize it practically to open portals to other dimensions and to traverse the pathways leading to and from other star systems and realms of existence. Many of their scientific and spiritual understandings are just recently being discovered and confirmed by contemporary humanity. The distillation of Mayan scientific knowledge and cosmological wisdom is particularly evident in their Sacred Calendar, the Tzolk'in.

"Essentials of the Mayan Sacred Calendar: Tzolk'in
by Michael de Cygne

When we consider our common calendar system, we think of our planet's orbit around the sun; a calendar of 365.25 days called the Gregorian Calendar. There is another calendar system that counts the cycles of our planet around our sun with respect to our sun's galactic orbital cycles; a calendar of 260 days called the Tzolk'in or Mayan Sacred Calendar. Rather than 12 months of approximately 30 days each, the Tzolk'in is a set of 13 months consisting of 20 Days each. This Calendar was widely used as an almanac, tracking cycles of various astronomical bodies and their influences on terrestrial climate and seasons. However, within the Mayan temples, there was a much deeper understanding of the Tzolk'in.

According to the Maya, each of these 20 Days resonate with particular spiritual and psychic qualities. Thus, each Day is considered to be a "Sacred Sign". The specific resonance or "Quality" of one of those 20 Sacred Signs is based on the collective placement of 13 days/planet cycles (frequencies, tones or "harmonics") that are a subcycle of the 20 Day month and overlay each month differently. Thus, when the months are layed out graphically, with Day/Sign 1 at the top of the frame and Day/Sign 20 at the bottom, progressing from left to right, the day numbers progress vertically, from top to bottom beginning with "1" in the upper left corner and ending with "13" in the lower right corner. Reading the Calendar horizontally from left to right, we reveal the specific sequences of harmonics, 1-13, that correspond to and compose each Day/Sign. [The Tzolk'in is regarded as a 'periodic table of the harmonics of time-space' which continually and comprehensively express every possible permutation of the Divine, or (as the Maya refer to It) Hunab Ku - the One Giver of Movement/time and Measure/space, throughout the Creation. It is more accurate to consider the term "harmonic" as referring to the manner in which the primary and subcycles of the Tzolk'in correspond to and synchronize with each other and with larger and smaller cycles of the galaxy and organic matter, respectively. However, to help you understand the resonant nature of the Tzolk'in, we're using the term here in reference to the specific days/planet cycles, (which can be mathematically reduced to specific frequencies or tones), the Tzolk'in's permutations thus being relative to specific sequences of Its tones and their interactions.]

(When the Calendar is viewed at face value, there are apparent contradictions to the statement that each Day/Sign has an entirely different sequence of 13 days/tones/harmonics. The numeric values [1-13] of the sequence of tones/harmonics for the Sacred Signs 14-20 are identical to those of the Sacred Signs 1-7. However, the inner structure of the Tzolk'in reveals subharmonics that are specific for each of the Calendar's 260 days; thus, the combinations of primary tones and their subharmonics are unique throughout the Tzolk'in.)

The collective sequence of 13 tones for any given Day/Sign express frequencies pertinent to collective Energies that are analogous to the Emanation of specific Divine Virtues or Qualities. Thus, each of the 20 Sacred Signs represents a specific set of Energies analogous to a Divine Emanation or Quality (that is an integral Aspect of our spiritual, psychic and molecular fibers and that is) electromagnetically expressed via our planetary cycles in the form of a unique sequence of 13 specific harmonic, solar cycles occurring periodically during the course of the 260 day Tzolk'in.

The Great Harmonic Matrix/Mother

The cycles/harmonics of Energies embodied by the Tzolk'in are believed to originate from the Divine Consciousness of the Great Mother/Spirit/Father, emanating (or being transmitted) throughout the galaxy via the electromagnetic waves surging from our galactic core. The Qualities of the Energies expressed by the Tzolk'in's harmonic interactions or permutations are constant, on all planes, in all dimensions. These permutations, which I'll refer to herein as "Harmonic Patterns" are believed to compose the vibratory Framework of all existence throughout the universe. Being universally constant, these Harmonic Patterns are evident [and encoded] in the formation (measure) and cycles (movement) of galactic, stellar and planetary systems as well as in the "fibers" of our spirits and souls (our etheric bodies), in the neuronal networks of our body's central nervous system and in the molecular structure and harmonic spirals of DNA. Thus, the Tzolk'in expresses an universal, harmonic lattice which engenders the composition of the forms and transformations of all that exists, in all dimensions, including the Harmonic Patterns (of Spirit and Nature) Which spawn all aspects of Consciousness and Being as well as DNA. (While this may seem fantastic, sci-fi or "new age hoop-de-doo" to many, this ancient understanding is being validated by empirical science on a daily basis.) Observing the embodiment of these Patterns in the planetary, solar, galactic systems, the Maya recognized the correlations between macrocosmic cycles and those of the subtler realms of existence, including the psyche and spirit. (As sacred archetypes, these Patterns are represented in the gamut of the world's religions and spiritual traditions.) Eventually, the Tzolk'in revealed Itself to them as a Vinculum, a scientific and esoteric Model that functions as a Tie bonding all religions, all sciences and all religions with all sciences and [most profoundly] as an Harmonic Matrix embodying and expressing an universal, binary Code by Which all aspects of the human being and the Cosmos are inherently unified, brought into universal alignment and synchronized to effect the expression of Divine Being throughout the human being via the individual's spiritual/mental, psychic/astral and physical/material bodies."

If we could access the Music of these harmonics in a form that we could easily apply to in our daily lives, we could master the energies and information expressed/imparted thereby and use these energies as a catylyst to regenerate ourselves and all life forms/states on this planet. The chapter "Loom of Maya" in Bear & Co.'s "The Mayan Factor" (by José Argüelles, ISBN 0-939680-38-6) details the specific Qualities of the Sacred Signs and their fundamental relationships. "The Mayan Oracle: Return Path to the Stars" (by Ariel Spilsbury and Michael Bryner, ISBN 0-939680-86-6) is a marvelous elaboration upon the Qualities and many analogies of the Sacred Signs aas well as in depth guidance on positively applying these Qualities in the individual's personal life journey. The mp3 collection "The Loom of Maya" (by Michael de Cygne) is a set of 13 toned, sonic translations each of the Sacred Signs and their fundamental relationships as revealed by the chapter which shares its name and is a wonderful support tool for The Mayan Oracle. The MÈRE Project has licensed [AM radio quality] recordings of each of the Sacred Signs embodied in "The Loom of Maya" and happily presents them, along with a list of their Qualities, for online listening or download.
